Advocacy Volunteer Opportunities

We are looking for advocacy volunteers who want to get more involved and make a difference in the fight against cancer.  There are many opportunities available.  To see our brochure click here.

Advocate:Advocates are part of our e-advocacy network and respond to electronic action alerts by contacting their legislators on specific cancer related legislation.
Advocacy at Relay:
Become an Advocacy Chair and/or volunteer to assist with advocacy activities at your local Relay For Life event.

Ambassador Constituent Team: These leadership positions cover four different arenas.  They are responsible for an entire congressional district and lead other advocacy volunteers in various activities.

Envoy:Individuals who have personal relationships with lawmakers or key influencers of the policy process.

ACS CAN Member: The nonprofit, nonpartisan advocacy affiliate of the American Cancer Society, supports evidence-based policy and legislative soluntions designed to eliminate cancer as a majoy health problem.  ACS CAN works to encourage elected officials and candidates to make cancer a top national priority.  If you would like to become a member or lean more about our federal advocacy activities through ACS CAN, visit their website at
