NC Advocates Travel to Washington D.C.
American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) volunteers travel to Washington, D.C.

ACS CAN volunteers met with their senators and representatives to ask them to support the following:

Increase in appropriations for federal cancer research and control programs by at least the 6.5 percent needed to keep pace with inflation.

Support for S.625 the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act, which would grant the FDA authority to regulate the marketing and production of tobacco products.

For representatives to co-Sponsor HR.6791, a bill outlining a plan to create a national Cancer Fund.
